Self-guided learning

As discussed, in each Project  the students are given total freedom to explore the Subjects on their own, at their own pace and in the order they find most suitable.

During this process it is natural and expected that challenges, findings and many questions do emerge. The students are encouraged to bring both the issues they come across and their discoveries to the whole class via the existing online community. This will enable a great amount of learning both from their peers and the instructors.

It is also expected that roadblocks will exist, meaning that some problems are not easily overcome. When that happens, the students should turn to the instructors for individual help and further guidance, via one-on-one sessions. Subsequently the students must share their new findings with the whole class.

This process seeks to emulate the “real-world” environment of web developers, where the professionals are constantly required to learn new technologies and concepts very often. This is, therefore, the best way to prepare the students for the professional work they are preparing to do in the future.
